#Climate Action Month? We're Participating!

This Calendar of Events starts with our own events!

Monday, Sept 16th: Go Green Map! at Siempre Verde Garden, 181 Stanton on Manhattan’s Lower East Side from 5 to 7pm.
Curious about creating a Green Map with your neighborhood, school or group? Come & find out how to use adaptable youth & community resources to map sustainability, generate climate action & support a greener, healthier city! Free, all ages welcome to this LUNGS Harvest Fest pre-Climate Week fair weather outdoor event - see Facebook for updates.

Thursday, Sept 26, 4 to 6pm, Explore the UN 2030 Goals in the real world at Sara D Roosevelt Park. Download the map at GreenMap.org/SDGparkwalk19. Start at NW corner of park (by Houston & 2nd Ave) and learn from community about the #SDGs! Thanks to our partners at Sara D Roosevelt Park Community Coalition, this is a free, all ages, rain or shine event. It's part of the SDGs Action Network - #Act4SDGs. Join us for this #ClimateAction

Fridays, Sept 20 - 27: Supporting youth and the future, Green Map will be joining the Global Climate Strike. Everyone, please join us at Foley Square at noon on the 20th (you can also support this action every Friday at the UN or City Hall, 11 -1pm!

Saturday Sept 21: We're joining the Rally for East River Park, starting at noon at Tompkins Square Park, with riverside rally at 1:30 at the Reflections Labyrinth, north of Williamsburg Bridge. Info here. Also on the same day: How will being on this tiny island help you set new intentions for climate health and community wellbeing?

More on the 21st: Have a climate action experience on Governors Island during the Our Future Festival, and pick up a Green Map at the House of Solutions, too. All ages welcome!
